Where can this strategy benefit you the most? – Everyday life because who wants to spend 10x longer having to try to understand what they observe?
When is this strategy most effective? – When it’s being practiced and applied in all the areas that you are struggling with.
Why is it recommended as a top priority for life? – Because everything else is going to seem super simple by the time you have applied these tricks.

Once you have accomplished what you need to do to love yourself more, you’re ready for the next step.
The number two priority is learning how to learn
What an odd thing to say.
Well, that is exactly what I first thought when I came into contact with this strategy.
The main idea here is that we did not get taught how to learn for the pure sake of retaining the information.
It was always about a result like when there is a test involved.
The main benefit for taking tests or quizzes is to gain an idea if you were able to successfully get the point of the information.
Instead of becoming stumped or overwhelmed, you should be capable of answering all the questions with the best responses
That part we already do pretty well at, it’s the continued retention and application of what we have learned that starts to cause us more problems.
I don’t know about you but I don’t like knowing that there are a hundred different folders that I keep just in case I need to go back and relearn something.
This is a major productivity nightmare and even though it’s organized, it’s not the ideal way to retrieve information.
The same thing can be said about our minds.
It’s only beneficial to store a certain amount of information before you face difficulties but there are many ways to reduce the size of the storage methods.
Imagine reducing the file cabinets inside an archive down to an external hard drive. Then reducing that to the zip files which are compressed down even more.
By the time you have optimized the same amount of information, it’s all stored in a nice tiny out of the way system.
When you learn to do this for your mind, it will absolutely sky rocket the efficiency level you’re capable of.
For any of you who believe that you aren’t the greatest learners, this is going to be a must do so that you remove that false belief.
There are countless websites, books, courses, and videos all about how to improve the way you learn.
Do not take this lightly because it’s above and beyond a great time saver in the short and long terms.
Anyways, now that you know just how important this step is to take. It’s time to look at all the wonderful tools that will help you benefit the most.
What Is The Best Strategy?
First of all this is completely about using your time to your advantage. There is a huge benefit when you control the way that you absorb information.
- You want to make things “Bite Size” so that you no longer feel like it’s an uphill battle. This means that you should learn how to copy and paste only the most relevant parts.
- Turn that information into “Stories” that way you can think visually about the steps and absorb that in an order that works it’s way up or down.
- You want to put things in their “Spots”, such as storing a series of bite-size stories in a room of your house that is very familiar.
What is a bite size piece of information? – It’s about a page or a short video in length that you can explain to yourself about a subject or topic.
The reason to do this is so that you can put yourself into that scenario or example and see what is going on.
A description of an event taking place with you feeling a certain way before during and after.
Your role is to present that information and you say it with confidence because it makes sense.
An example is learning how to set up a website. You remember the first time you tried doing it because you were nervous.
After following the steps, you got to experience the thrill of seeing that it worked. Now because of that experience, you can recall those steps every time that you need to perform them.
Just in case you need that skill, you make it a weekly part of your routine by going back to the lesson that you created so that you can remember that story exactly each time.
Once you have done that for a month, you should be able to visit your lesson much less often and retain the information.
This is basically learning from the step by step strategy where you follow those 3 ideas above. The advanced trick is to add on to it by expanding on the steps.
Eventually that will lead you to putting those lessons in a room in an exact order that you visualize yourself retrieving them.
A 10 step method will involve ten objects in the room where you track your movements from one spot to the next.
This way you really only have to remember this sequence and your mind will do the rest for you.
The second one is to imagine different parts of your body from your head down to your toes.
Instead of using the first strategy, you will actually rehearse a system like a Word game.
That means you have the letters to various key points laid out in front of you and you will attempt to create a phrase with their first letters.
Why Learning How To Learn Is A Must Do
Have you ever wondered why others get finished doing similar tasks in a much quicker time frame?
The truth isn’t that they are smarter than you, it’s just that they have had a better amount of training, in this area.
There is a big difference and many factors when it comes to learning the optimal way. The first thing you will want to do is to find out whether you are a visual, auditory or kinetic learner.
Each of these three things is pretty simple to figure out, just start thinking about whether you like audios, videos, step by steps, or a more hands on type of demonstration.
For auditory people, it means you are better at hearing the information, for kinetic people, it means you need to feel or touch while going over the lesson, and for the visual people, it is what you would expect.
You get the most out of watching things happen while seeing the steps being done and whether it’s being done right versus wrong.
For a baffling number of people they will still try to do it the hard way, which is reading book after book wondering why they just can’t seem to get the hang of the lessons.
I am technically a better hands on learner then I am with reading or watching videos.
But my numbers are all close together, which means, I need to do all three to fully optimize that type of information.
The most frustrating part to learning is finding something you really want to learn about.
When you buy or eventually need to buy a product, sometimes it only comes in one of the three versions.
It’s for this reason that I will only look for solutions that are visual, auditory, and kinetic in some or all steps.
What else should you do to figure out how you learn best?
Well, based on what will make things go smoothest, the second type of test you can take is a personality test.
This will give you some of the most useful information about yourself that you didn’t know previously.
But here is where it also gets a bit tricky.
Not all personality tests are the same thing, meaning that you truly need to take each different type to get the best overall idea of who you are.
This also means it can be hard to find these tests in versions that will be user friendly.
Most places online will let you take the test but require you to buy something before releasing the information.
Others will simply just give you the top couple of things and then try to keep you coming back over and over to see more results.
What exactly should you look for when you take these kinds of tests?
One thing is whether you lean toward being introverted or extroverted. It truly does make a real difference in how you absorb different sets of information.
Another is whether you like to be surrounded by people at a similar level as you or not, and then one more thing is going to tell you how well you do with teams versus being a solo learner.
Not everyone is meant to collaborate and it isn’t dependent on being an extrovert or introvert.
This factor comes from how well you get motivated to achieve versus how well you get motivated to not be the first to try.
Imagine that you are put under the spotlight, there you know that everyone is going to be watching your every move.
What are the most useful ways to prepare for this?
- Do you find a nice quiet spot to rehearse what you are going to show?
- Do you go out to a really loud venue and try to speak over the top of everyone else?
- Do you visualize yourself going through the same scenario that you will be facing in your mind?
- You simply tell yourself it’s going to be fine to try and wing it?
Questions To Reflect On
In this section we are going to cover the good and the bad parts of learning from an experience viewpoint.
That means are you in real need of a mentor or will you be better suited to be the front runner? (leader versus top follower)
Before you go on a tyrant thinking that you will be stuck unless you can reach out to call a personal coach, let’s look for the truth.
Which of the three types of learner will assist you the most?
It can even be a combination of the three but put them in the order that you find out.
Next, ask yourself a few questions like do you experience any anxiety when it comes to accepting criticisms?
If you answer yes to this (and most people tend to get upset with any kind of criticism) you may want to learn about relaxation techniques.
Were you also a type of student who looked for extra credit or tended to skip that part because it wasn’t really necessary?
Did you ask questions as anything came up or did you prefer to write down your questions and ask them later on?
Could you do research and figure out what was important versus what was just useless facts?
What about deciding on a subject, did you have a clue what you liked or did you need to experiment more to find things of interest?
Do you admire the achievements of any particular person? Whether they are part of your life or found throughout history?
Where do you stand on certain keystone beliefs? Is knowledge more important than money, is life the most precious thing, can people truly become evil?
A Willingness To Learn Daily
This section will contain information about your willingness to take the steps necessary versus trying to make things come sooner or via shortcuts.
As a part of my own learning, I use various methods to make recalling things simple.
There are many different techniques that will help to improve your memory and it may be well worth your time to invest in a system that helps.
Sometimes there is a thing called a shiny object syndrome which suggest that people continue to buy similar things in order to teach themselves to do what the last product already could have done.
This can be a serious way to practice something called self-defeating behaviors.
When done without a clue, these will place you into a vicious cycle continuously damaging your self-belief and faith.
What you will need to learn regardless of how much work is involved is to distinguish what your actual needs are.
Why learn to do something when you could benefit more from a different approach?
Here is a very big decision you need to make right now.
That is about how well you live up to the promises that you make yourself. Are you somebody who keeps a list of things and checks them off as they get done?
Or are you the type of person who tries to keep a mental list and gets disoriented when trying to think back to the proper order of things being done?
Understanding how you learn from the best sources is crucial to acquire the most bang for the buck (or time crunch).
This means that in order to change your habits, you must plan for different ways to develop yourself.
Everything that isn’t planned tends to pass right through our minds.
With the exception of emotional events, because these are immediately noticed by the subconscious mind.
That suggests, that we need to determine our behaviors in order to identify the best times to dedicate to learning.
Think of this for a moment, do you have any activities that really excite you to do them?
Make a special note that while you are feeling this type of emotion you will also spend a few minutes to review whichever lesson you are working on.
It doesn’t have to be longer than 4-5 minutes but should include a chapter or summary of important steps.
One thing that I do is to write up my own script and make a video I can watch in that time frame.
When you can add repetition throughout your day things get absorbed so much faster than if you just sat down and tried to cram all kinds of things into one session.
That is why it’s both important and most functional to make a strategy and plan that will cover your weeks, months, days, and hours in some cases.
Once you have your structured system in place, you can begin to assemble the pieces.
Practice Applying What You Learn By Teaching Yourself With That Information
As a part of your system, you will spend the non-emotional time to do the grunt work of assembling your videos, your short articles, your audios and your slide shows.
This step accomplishes several wonderful skill upgrades all at the same time that you will be absorbing important information.
One additional note to keep in mind is to be willing to spend money on products or software. This is linked to the idea that what we pay for is directly related to how much effort we put into the use of.
In other words, what you spend the most money on will be what actually teaches you to absorb that content the fastest.
This is one solid reason to start your own website so you can work on any lesson you like and convince yourself that the money is the best use of it.
Sooner or later you will learn how to monetize that website and be paid back every dime that you have spent.
But in the initial phases it’s going to create that burning desire because you clearly will spend more than you make.
Thinking About Thinking Or Meta-Cognition
Learn to learn better but at the same time, you need to also think about your thoughts, moods, emotions, and goals.
So, it’s going to start out perhaps difficult to remind yourself that you must think about each sentence you read ahead of time.
That is one reason I try to ask many different questions while I am writing, It makes me instantly check in with my thoughts and to ask if I am feeling okay.
Aside from that, there will be the edits I do, the requesting of feedback I receive, and the little sessions of studying while I research, which all impact the pace I can go to continue learning about new things.
So, now you have a good amount to start with, the next step is to revisit what you have done in a couple of days.
Make sure you have your schedule spaced appropriately and don’t just try to cram things in without understanding.
The number two priority is learning how to learn, I hope that you remember all of this. Thanks for taking the time to visit the site.
