I am so glad you are here because it means you realize just how important it is to figure out who you truly are. Also, once you learn to find the truth about yourself you will be amazed at how much better things can become.
In order to understand what I mean by “obstacle”, there needs to be a connection made. When you think about an obstacle, what other things come to mind?
For me, this brings up the words “challenges”, “problems”, “inconveniences”, “hassles”, and so forth. But there needs to be a reason behind them in order for you to experience discomfort or annoyance.
An example – You have a 9-5 job which uses up way too many resources. This leaves you feeling empty or depleted because you think that there has to be a better way to go through life.
You are correct because it’s not the job you have which causes that feeling, it’s really you and it’s something you can fix. When you are able to learn more about yourself, you will start to understand why you feel different at different times.
Also, you will be able to control your moods because when you know the causes of them, you will become more aware of everything that transpires in your life.
Gaining knowledge is your key to finding out who you truly are
What does an obstacle truly represent? – An obstacle is another way to say problem but it takes the negative spin off of it. When you can eliminate the negative programming that is already inside of your mind, you will start to see things in an optimistic way.
Optimism is better than pessimism because you realize there is something good, or something valuable to be gained by anything. The glass is half full represents the fact you can still add more liquid to it.
Making the connection with your own mind this tells us you have plenty of room to grow and change into the person you know that you can be.
Becoming optimistic will be a much better way to start looking for the pleasure or joyful moments in life. With a pessimistic view, you are looking for the worst in everything or the sad, bad, painful, disappointing, shameful, hateful, regretful and so on.
As you can see it’s essential for your journey to be able to find lots of motivation that will allow you to change any negative thought you have into positive.
How to make a change? – This is where a journal and some self-discovery come into play because you are the only person who can get the process started.
You will see me mention the words “desire’, “burning desire”, “wants”, “needs”, “unmet needs”, “psychological needs”, “passion”, “purpose”, “meaning”, “mindset”, “outlook”, “vision”, “plan”, and countless others.
I do this so that you have a way to know the importance of something. A want isn’t as essential or important as a need, and a need is important but not as necessary as an unmet need which is also your psychological need.
From time to time, you will need to remember that because you will make quick changes when you can work on the psychological needs first and move toward the wants later.
A passion is something specific that makes you excited enough to want to learn and talk about a topic or subject as an expert. It’s an expression of who you are and it’s how you can let go of the uncomfortable things you avoid.
A purpose is a feeling, or a desire you have that gets you to jump up out of bed in the morning because you know what you are working on will make a real difference in your life or somebody else’s.
When you combine passion and purpose you are onto something truly amazing that can get you to make a transformation.
Why is this important? – Human beings need a reason in order to do anything that’s uncomfortable. You already know plenty of activities you can do that will be fun and enjoyable.
So, why would you want to do something that is uncomfortable? – Because it’s how you develop better skills and make the best decisions. When you shape yourself into a more capable person who can do lot’s of things well, you will increase your confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, and know that you are truly a deserving person.
Consider this – Right now you probably face good days and bad days, but do you know why? Do you understand enough about your life today, so that you can say there isn’t a single thing going in the wrong direction?
You are completely satisfied with everything you have, everyone who is a part of your life, and that you will achieve all that you can realistically imagine needing in the future?
For anyone who can say I am fulfilled completely and satisfied, I think it’s fantastic and applaud you for that. Most people have not taken the proper time to create the life that they know is possible and have gotten all that and more than they wanted.
Everyone else still has a chance to make this possible for themselves. But the process takes a commitment and will require some self-evaluations, patience, and a desire to learn the truth.
Meaning and understanding
To start understanding things in a clear and concise way, you will need to look at the meaning behind the words you use when you think.
As you may know, the same word can mean different things to different people and this happens because each person is unique and they have experienced life in a unique way.
What does that say about a word such as “normal”? – Can it be the same thing that anyone who uses it intends for it to suggest to another person? Possibly, but there is still a chance that it’s not going to have any real meaning at all.
When you use a phrase “he is a normal guy” do you understand what you are implying?
She is normal in everything except for ____. This suggests that only one thing about her is different than another person. But in reality, there are infinite things which are truly different.
All of the differences come from the varying sets of beliefs and values a person has. You can also, include morals, ethics, standards, guiding principles, traditions, family history, race, sex, religions, etc.
But certainly, there isn’t just one list that is correct to follow. This is due to the nature of humans and society.
That is why you must learn to be open to all viewpoints and at least respect the opinions of others enough so that you can respect yourself.
Mindsets and outlooks
When you learn a set of beliefs it’s considered a mindset or having an outlook on life. This doesn’t mean it’s a permanent thing because you are able to learn differing viewpoints and see things differently all the time.
Adapting a positive mindset means you are willing to look at things in an optimistic way. Adapting a negative outlook means you are willing to see things in a pessimistic way.
Any adaptation to a mindset means you are able to put yourself in a situation and see what it’s like from another angle. When you hear somebody mention their mindset you need to know what they are referring to.
Which is making a momentary transformation based on the knowledge they have about something. Knowledge is the key word here and it’s possible to be wrong.
That is why you must learn to hold onto the truth and only the truth so that you aren’t being misguided by anything stored in your mind.
Vision or Plan
A vision is a long-term strategy a person can use to get to a future point in their life.
A plan can be short, medium, and long-term that covers the specific steps to realize what your vision is. You can also call it a plan of action, a visionary plan, a planned effort and many others.
This is important because a vision is going to be used more, in general, to keep getting closer to the whole thing. You will be learning why it’s an important piece to the puzzle and why you need to make multiple plans for everything you want.
Right now, knowing the difference is going to clear up some of the confusion which may come up along the way.
Those are all the basics that will help get you started using this website. Now, this next part is going to be where I can help you find out the exact steps you should follow to go from point A to a point B.
